Shaman dress and drum

The word shaman originated in Siberia. Most shamans in Siberia belong to the “ectoplasmic type,” whose souls are believed to come out of their body to travel in the spiritual world. They enter an ecstatic state to the rhythm of the drums that they beat, and can cure diseases. Their drums are said to be the vessels for their souls outside their bodies.
