Africa, the birthplace of humanity, has gone through profound changes and has always been tied to the outside world. The diversity of cultures and languages that we see in the African continent today is the result of these changes. In this exhibit, we introduce the way in which people live in Africa today, focusing on four different aspects-'urban life', 'work', 'adornment' and 'prayer'. We also look at the efforts people are making to rediscover their history. We hope that this exhibit fosters renewed understanding toward the people of Africa, who live in the same present as we do.
