The two spheres at the bottom are celestial globes that show constellations, the equator and the ecliptic on their surfaces. The disk at the top was used to draw horoscopes for astrology. The illustration at the center shows the waxing and waning of the moon, as well as solar and lunar eclipses. In India, calendars have been developed since ancient times, and expert knowledge has been accumulated on the movements of planets and stars. Calendars and horoscopes are still regarded as significant for weddings and other ceremonies.
