The deity Krishna as a flute-playing herdsman

Krishna is believed to have been a historical person, who later was deified as an incarnation of Vishnu around the beginning of the Common Era. Krishna is one of the most popular Hindu deities, and is often depicted in a statue with his lover Radha, or as a flute-playing herdsman.
