The artists of the Kalahari desert
Africa's Kalahari desert is one of the world's driest areas and the main source of water is the watermelon which is grown by the inhabitants.  Recently, a new group of African artists -called "desert artists" by Westerners- have made their appearance.  They express their relation with the desert by performing a "watermelon" dance and also by playing the Kalimba (thumb piano).
