10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (Entry permitted until 4:30 p.m.)
The Museum is closed on Wednesday. When Wednesday falls on a National Holiday, the Museum is closed on the following day.
The Museum is also closed from December 28 to January 4.

◇ The Museum may be closed because of bad weather.
When a storm warning is announced for Osaka city and the northern Osaka area, and also when the Natural and Cultural Garden is closed because of the weather, the Museum will also be closed. For further information, please call 06-6876-2151.

  • An additional charge may be necessary for Special Exhibitions.
  • Ticket Counter is on the 2nd Floor of the Main Exhibition Building. (Tickets for Special Exhibitions are also available at the ticket counter of the Special Exhibition Hall.)
  • In the Main Exhibition Building, Entrance Hall, Museum Shop, and Restaurant on the 1st Floor, and the Information Zone on the 2nd floor are available free of charge.
  • Please show an admission ticket when you participate in Special Lectures and Performances, and Minpaku Film Shows or Minpaku World Cinemas.
    *Participation in Minpaku Seminars is free of charge(No need to purchase a ticket).

*For adult only; valid for one year after purchase.
*A handling charge of 108 yen is required for purchases at Ticket PIA, Seven Eleven, or Circle K Sunkus. In addition to 108 yen, a 216 yen fee is required at Seven Eleven and Circle K Sunkus.

* If you wish to pass through the Natural and Cultural Gardens on Admission Free Days Gardens, please purchase a ticket for the Gardens (admission fee: \250)
* From Koen-Higashiguchi station on Osaka Monorail, there is a direct path to the Museum without passing through the Natural and Cultural Gardens (no need to purchase a ticket for the Gardens).

Entering the Natural and Cultural Gardens

  • If you purchase a Museum ticket at the entrance to the Natural and Cultural Gardens, you can pass through the garden for free (admission fee: \250).
  • From Koen-Higashiguchi station, you can use the path for museum visitors that begins the right beside the gate to the Japanese garden without walking through the nature preserve, an area that requires and admission fee.

  • If you are a member of The Minpaku Associates, you may pass through the Natural and Cultural Gardens without charge, as long as you present your membership card at the entrance to the garden.
