Affiliation Agreement between Vanderbilt University, United States of America, and the National Museum of Ethnology, Japan

The National Museum of Ethnology and the Vanderbilt University, concluded an agreement to strengthen and develop academic exchange and research, based upon the principles of mutual understanding and common interest.

On February 8, 2016, Director-General, Dr. SUDO Ken’ichi, and Deputy Director-General, Dr. KISHIGAMI Nobuhiro, National Museum of Ethnology, signed the agreement which Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Susan R. WENTE, and Dean, College of Arts & Science, Dr. Lauren A. BENTON, Vanderbilt University had signed in advance, at a ceremony held at the National Museum of Ethnology, and witnessed by Associate Professor Dr. Steven A. WERNKE, the Department of Anthropology, Vanderbilt University, and Professor, SAITO Akira, the National Museum of Ethnology.

Both institutions will collaborate on conferences, symposia, and seminars, collaborative research program, and cultural exchange program.
