Tuition waivers

Departmental frameworks

Every year the Departments of Regional Studies and Comparative Studies offer waivers of the whole or half of their first year's tuition to incoming students who have performed outstandingly on the entrance examination.

Basic Framework

Twice each year Sokendai accepts applications for tuition waivers. Those who qualify receive waivers for half of the following semester's tuition (¥267,900).

Research Training (RT)

Provides the necessary financial support for young researchers who demonstrate outstanding creativity in tackling new approaches to multidisciplinary research in the humanities.

Research Assistants (RA)

Students employed as research assistants engage in research activities under faculty direction and supervision.
