FY2001
Up until now the building of human relations in connection with homes has been
based on the family. However, among the various kinds of problems directly faced
by the family produced by the modern age is the fact that the family or home clearly
does not exceed imagined commonality of the jointly shared location. As an indispensable
member of this commonality, the question becomes whether modern people with their
existential anxieties have the potential to enjoy a well-rounded lifestyle within
this shared space. And in that sense we will consider these issues based on the
key concept of contemporary Japanese society of “my home.”
