FY2001
The objectives of this joint research are to consider the ethnic and religious
conflicts which are rife in various parts of the world, not in terms of supra-historical
clashes between groups, but instead by adopting a standpoint which views these
events as being born and taking shape through the process of the surfacing of
contradictions, and that struggles arise through manipulation among social categories.
This research should thereby prove able to make socioscientific contributions
to understanding conflicts.
