研究詳細

アレクサンドロス大王の死後に彼にまつわる様々な言説が、古代ギリシア・ローマ世界からイスラーム世界へどのように伝わり、そこでどのような展開を遂げたかを比較文学的観点から研究しています。

中世イスラーム世界の著述家たちが描いたアレクサンドロスは、重要な歴史上の人物であっただけでなく、時に預言者であり、君主の鑑、探求者、また物語の英雄でもありました。アレクサンドロスのこのような多様な「顔」を、歴史書、宗教書、地理書、百科全書、教訓書、物語、叙事詩等と様々な分野のアラビア語・ペルシア語原典資料の中に探り、その情報を中世ヨーロッパのアレクサンドロス伝承などと比較しながら分析しています。
