Organizer This symposium is co-organized by National Museum of Ethnology, Osaka (NME=MINPAKU), and Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN), both of which are members of National Institutes for the Humanities (NIHU). This symposium is a part of research activities of MINPAKU Special Research Project “Global Area Studies: Toward a New Epistemology for Mapping the Globalizing World” (Project leader: Tetsuo NISHIO), in collaboration with NIHU (National Institutes for the Humanities) Transdisciplinary Project “Global Area Studies”.
