Academic Qualifications:

  • B.A. Tokai Univ. 1995

Research Topics:

  1. Research on pest control method using for carbon dioxide
  2. Research on conservation treatment of “Dosuriusu” (a clay mortar)
  3. Research on conservation treatment of museum materials

Recent Research Interests:

  • My present interest is how to make an efficient pest control for museum objects. A treatment using carbon dioxide could be one of the possibilities.
As ethnographic objects are made of many sorts of materials employing several techniques, it is necessary to make an accurate investigation for each conservation treatment. I have made researches in a conservation of techniques, objects made from wood, leather, and rice straw, and now I am interested in a conservation treatment of “clay material”.

Discipline:

  • Conservation science, conservation treatment
